First, the biscuits are unreal. Everybody claims it but Butterpunk lives it! I got mine with mushroom gravy, and there was fresh dill on top; it was just perfectly savory, salty, and creamy. Their coffee is also excellent, I don’t know who the roaster is. And the atmosphere is light and artsy. A nice place to sit and talk with a friend.

I ordered the biscuits and gravy with an egg, and it was an excellent choice. The flavors were beautifully balanced, and the biscuit was the star of the dish. It was perfectly baked—rich, buttery, and beautifully plump with a light, fluffy texture. The egg was cooked exactly how I like it and complemented the dish perfectly without getting lost among the other flavors. The presentation was beautifully done. It elevated a classic comfort-food dish into something that felt refined and thoughtfully prepared while still remaining inviting and familiar. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer all of my questions, making the ordering process easy. After receiving your food, the experience is more self-service, so if you're looking for frequent table check-ins or a traditional full-service restaurant, this may not be the experience you're expecting. The atmosphere was another highlight. The décor is tasteful, the seating is comfortable, and the space is thoughtfully designed with a great overall vibe. This spot has it all - great service, all the vibes, and excellent food. There's limited seating and you may have to sit communal style in some areas, but people turn in and out pretty fast. The focus here is the biscuits, and they do them so well! Crisp, buttery outside, tender inside, and if you get the sandwich, that souffle egg is ultra fluffy and light. The scallion mayo inside is perfect. I also ordered a miso caramel iced latte and it was perfectly balanced - not too sweet with subtle umami notes.

BUTTER PUNK. Best biscuits in town. Top tier coffee. Hard to find a place that can do both so well. Small menu but not at all boring or basic. OG breakfast sammie. BBLT. Miso caramel latte. Cold Brew!?!? All Incredible and executed at the highest level. The employees are so friendly and seem to be really enjoying themselves. A true gem.

AMAZING FOOD AND SERVICE!! The owner was very nice and so were all the employees. The decor was adorable. I ordered the biscuits in mushroom gravy with sausage and a fried egg, absolutely delicious. The Angeleno coffee was perfect. Would definitely come back whenever I’m in Asheville.
